The War Inside the US (1861–2020)
An initiative to dialogue on the history of racism and civil rights in the United States
The War Inside the US is Humenhoid’s awareness-raising initiative in collaboration with the Ross-Tayer Foundation: two days of meetings and seminars with scholars, activists and journalists to reflect together on the origins of racism in the United States, presenting historical case studies and contemporaries, from the Secession War to recent discrimination events.
An important opportunity to discuss together with the intent to improve our communities by giving priority to dialogue on education, integration policies, the right to health and environmental sustainability. Because only together can we face problems and create real change.
“The phenomenology of racism evolves with history and with our societies. These meetings represent our desire to activate a collective reflection to act towards a concrete change of our communities. Especially in this historical moment, we want to underline our moral commitment and financial to promote initiatives based on values of tolerance and social cohesion, continuing to honor the legacy that defines our foundation. “ — Arthur Corwann
